Online Memorial

If you want to create an online pet memorial page, start with the smallest real version

Many grieving owners think a memorial page must be complete or beautifully written before it is worth starting. It does not. The first job is simply to create one place for the photo, the name, the dates, and the sentence you most need to keep.

Minimum version

Name, photo, birth and goodbye dates, plus one sentence that feels true to your pet. Having the page matters more than having the perfect page.

It does not have to be public

An online pet memorial page does not need to be public. It can begin as a private place to hold the memories until you decide otherwise.

Why it actually helps

When grief scatters memory, a memorial page gives the photo, story, family messages, and obituary one stable home.

The 4 things worth adding first

Their name, including the way you always called them
One photo you most want to keep
Birth and goodbye dates, even if approximate at first
One sentence that does not need to be perfect, only true
